Marah Alpha Shaka 

What is your background?
I am a native born of Kabala, Koinadugu District Northern Sierra Leone. I did my Primary and Secondary education at Kabala and later left for Njala University Bo District southern Sierra Leone, where I attained higher diploma in community health and clinical sciences. I have four sisters and nine brothers and I am the second eldest in the family.  Father, mother and a step mother are all alive. I am single.

Why did you want to enter the program?
I entered the programme because I always desire to save lives through surgical intervention or other medical procedures.

What is a normal day like for you at the hospital?
Normal day for me in the hospital is working hard to save lives.

What do you like most about the program?
I like the obstetric and the gynaecological aspect of the program.

What will you do after you finish the program?
After I finished the program, I will continue working hard to save lives with other senior doctors.
